The news of the death of Rev. Dr. Zairema around 6 am this morning comes as a very sad news to all of us in the family of Serampore College. Rev. Dr. Zairema was a BD student at Serampore College in the early forties, during the Second World War. He was one of the leading students. He was known for his hard work and brilliant academic performance.

Rev. Dr. Zairema was the first among the Mizos whom Serampore College awarded Doctor of Divinity degree for his outstanding contributions to the Church and Society. Dear Friends, I must write this in English so that I can express myself properly.

It was with sadness that I received the news of Pu Zairema's death. He was always there for us missionaries, and his wisdom kept us from too much follishness many a time. In my time he was at Silchar, and even when I returned there in 2005 to go to the Cachar Hill Tribes Synod, it was as Pu Zairema's house that I thought of the top bungalo. Whenever we travelled, he was there with his welcome and care for us.

His leadership and his scholarship will be greatly missed. Even last year when I attended the ATC Centenary he was busy writing an important book. I greatly cherish the long conversation I had with him in his house at that time.

Please give my condolences to his family, and assure them and the Mizo Church of my prayers. I will inform Rev Alwyn Roberts immediately.

In this contexts scripture has all times an elementary function, as holy scripture or as formal writing of knowledge. In computer technology 'basic input output system' (bios) designates the module which basicaly coordinates the interchange between hard- and software. Therefore it contains the indispensable code, the essential program writing, on which every further program can be established.

Who were The Terrorists?
